How much does teeth whitening cost?

The cost varies significantly from dental practice to dental practice. You should always make sure that the person offering your teeth whitening is a registrant with the General dental Council, teeth whitening will then typically cost around £399.

How do you bleach your teeth at home?

There are two components to bleaching your teeth at home, the bleaching gel and a bleaching tray. The tray is a clear plastic tray which fits precisely over your teeth and is custom made to fit you and you alone. Into this tray you will place the bleaching gel, often wearing the gel for a few hours or overnight. The tray is designed to ensure that the gel does not come into contact with your sensitive gums. You can usually whiten your teeth for as long as you want meaning you are in complete control of the colour.

Will my teeth be sensitivity during whitening?

Some mild sensitivity during whitening is quite normal. The advantage with home teeth whitening is that if your teeth become too sensitive you can stop at any time.

Can teeth whitening damage teeth?

It is generally considered that teeth whitening does not damage teeth so long as products used are containing or releasing between 0.1% and 6% hydrogen peroxide.
